Ace Hardware really knows how to deliver exceptional customer service and the Westmoreland location exemplifies this. Whenever I have a project that requires instruction I head here. The staff, each one of them, is helpful, provides instruction, potential solutions, and helps me find everything I need to complete the task. I never feel like I am bothering anyone or taking too much of their time. They give me 100% of their attention for as long as I need it. Wow. Wish every store was like this!

Not only are they well stocked in all of the basics - plumbing, electrical, hardware, paint, electrical, screen replacement, garden rakes, shovels, nuts & bolts, tools - they have a great seasonal department.

In the spring and summer there are grills, outdoor furniture, pillows, garden tools, seed packets, annuals and perennials. Their yard art and garden items are whimsical and fun.

At Christmas they have indoor and outdoor lights and all the extension cords and remote controls to light up your space! Plus some artificial trees, ornaments and other decorations. And always flags, any time if the year.

I'm always super impressed with the houseware department. I never expect a hardware store to have such a vast collection of high quality and good looking kitchen gadgets plus beautiful serving pieces, placemats, napkins, candles, cutting boards and other items to create a really nice presentation.

I've been going to this Ace Hardware store for over a decade, and they never disappoint. This morning's outing was typical. I had a plumbing problem, and on a second trip just brought in the innards of the offending outside faucet. Washer was an oddball, but as usual the red-haired gentleman (whose name escapes me, but the locals will know him) sorted through the washers, found the one that fits, and even installed it on the piece for me. I'm pretty handy, but this guy is amazing: he doesn't just sell you something, he's interested in getting the problem solved. Everyone in the store has been great, and there's nothing they don't have. The best business in Portland, hands down.

I usually don't review chains, but I do make some exceptions, and this is one of them.

This is my local Ace store and I've coming here for over 3 years. Being a first time homeowner and having an older property. There is always something to fix and work one.

I've been here over and over again with a million questions and the staff here is always super helpful, full of ideas, and friendly. They don't even laugh at some of my very rookie questions, at least not in front of me. They just help me as they do all customers.

They have a huge selection of almost everything you need and can give you ideas on how to accomplish certain fixes with what they do have.

The ACE Rewards program is great for those discounts and store credit.

Plus those dog treats at check our for my Doodler are a pleasant bonus.

The employees are always respectful and helpful. The selection of items is great considering the relatively small space. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and have given me solid recommendations. I give my business to this establishment and would encourage others to as well.

Store is closed to customers for some reason right now, you can't go in and look around. You have to tell an employee what you want, and they go to get it. Very slow, not helpful if you need to browse.

We've been going here for almost 7 years. The entire staff is so helpful and professional. I would recommend this Ace to anyone. You've always been able to help and guide me.

six stars wouldn't be enough for this place. I live in Sellwood, and this is THE go to store. The service is exceptional. It's small but the product selection is robust - want fast drying concrete? They have it. Need one bolt that is unique in size and thread? They have it. Their COVID protocols are great.
