Don't join. Is impossible to cancel. They make you come in to freeze your account and you have to send a certified mail letter to a PO Box to cancel. I'm disgusted. Bandaids and hair everywhere. Full of "bros".

Do not go there if you are a beginner at the gym. the machines are old / run down and the lifting machines do not have the proper weight. the buttons on treadmill don't work and the bathrooms are not clean what so whatever. it is always crowded and old men are starring. also they are money hungry they text you & try and get you to sign up for classes everyday.

Gym poorly maintained. Many pieces of equipment broken or break while using. Literally snapped cables on equipment while using. Very dirty and managers try to bait and switch you on training programs by misleading you however they can. They lock you in contracts and fail to establish an actual program that yields any results. Then you bounce around various trainers and never really get any value. Save your time any money and find a different gym.

They are money hungry. Stay away.
I wanted to improve myself and bought the contract with personal training. My trainer was great then he left for a new job. I'm proud of him but the guy that he pawned me off on was always rescheduling me and more interested in hanging out with his buddies in the gym than teaching me the best ways to achieve my goals.
I'm locked into a contract can't even get a refund. I have unused personal training sessions still and I'm not even interested in going to this gym. The showers & bathrooms are disgusting.
The gym equipment is always broken & no one wipes down anything.
Their employees sleep in the hydrobed areas and the hot tub looks like human soup. Nothing is clean here. If you want ghetto fabulous go here.
Otherwise go to planet instead.
I gave it 2 stars bc I learned how to exercise from the trainer that left and then it's really just a 1 star location.
To the manger that wants to respond to this. Just don't. Save your energy and effort to respond and fix your location instead. All the reviews are the same. All the money invested into memberships needs to fix your location and work on preventative maintenance contracts. I have been a member of XSport for over 15 years. The AH Dundee location is the club nearest to my home, I've been going there since 2014.
The current state of this location can only be described as gross negligence.
I reached a breaking point today, I will be finding a new gym close to my home. Here is the current condition of the club:
1 - There were 7 treadmills with Out of Order Signs
2 - The only 2 rowing machines have been OUT OF ORDER for three weeks
3 - The Steam Sauna has been OUT OF ORDER for over a month
4 - The dry sauna is getting abused because people are pouring water on the heater to get a steam sauna feel. This will be out of order soon too.
5 - The ambient music is SO LOUD I can't hear my own headphones. I asked "the manager" if he could turn it down. I was ignored.
6 - The pool and spa are out of order and the water is turning cloudy and green. GROSS!!
Something needs to be done about the manager of this location, it is being abused and hurting the brand. If you're a looking for a place to work out in the area, I'd look elsewhere. I will be.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Information sur le responsable du commerce

Pro is that they have a huge variety of machines
Cons is that it's very crowded and dirty.
For the money , it's a reasonable option.

BUYER BEWARE!! Easy cancelation, $1 week trial membership?? Don't believe everything you see. My daughter and her friends came in for a $1 week trial membership, the girl then signs them up for an actual membership WITHOUT their knowledge. Once they find out, they call to cancel, being told it was canceled. UNTIL they again see another charge, then being told they can't get a refund because it's past 30 days. Calling corporate is a joke because they won't take calls from Illinois, those have to be done in writing then again, you'll be past the 30 days! AND they charge a cancelation fee! I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone.

What a terrible business! Stay away! This place is gross, dirty, half the showers work, half the elliptical work, the hot tub is not working, the pool is out of order, the basketballs are flat. On my birthday I was asked for money but not wished a happy birthday. Employee was FaceTiming in bathroom. I decided that was enough so I tried to quit my membership in person. They wouldn't accept that. Was told I had to cancel via the corporate phone. After 3 days of calling I finally got through where they told me to do it in person. Then they told me to send a certified letter. I did that and still my $56 a month comes out. I now have to change banks to stop this from happening. Xsport, more like X Cons with a gym!

Employees are barely workings. Zero supervision. Every night I come to this gym there's a huge group of shirtless guys using the whole court. I purposely come after one 1 am for this reason, however it never fails. I've waited till 2 or 3 am sometimes for these dudes to finish there game. Super obnoxious and the employee at the front desk seems to be unbothered. I'm actually paying to be able to use the hoops. The fact that I can't is extremely frustrating. The hoops are also disgusting. I've seen spit on the walls that doesn't get washed off.

I have be going to this gym for over a year. I was training with Dan really great trainer he really helped me understand different workout that help work different part of the body. Before training with him I didn't know where to start workings out going to the gym. I'm giving a 2 starts because he recently left the gym for a new job I'm happy for him. The think is we didn't get to finish my sessions before he left he set me up with a different trainer to finish out my sessions that trainer didn't know what he was doing he was late to sessions and missed a whole training day when it was on the scheduled. I talked to the manager at the gym he apologize for that and gave me a new training who couldn't fit me in there schedule. I just want to finish out my last month of sessions before I moved but staff made it difficult. I asked for a refund for the last month of sessions I couldn't finish they told me they couldn't do anything like seriously. Then I called and canceled my membership which was a difficult process since I wasn't able to go in to the gym and I wasn't going to send a letter and wait 2-4 weeks for my membership to be canceled. They were able to cancel it over the phone. But them the next day I was charged $49 for some random fee. I call to ask them about it and they told me it was a free for something. I asked to get it refunded because my membership is canceled and they said sorry we can't do that if u want we can give u the corporate phone number. Still hoping to get a refund for my last month of training sessions and a refund for the random $49 fee. This gym isn't the best they just want money.
