I have been a member since Fairfax opened! Arnold, Manager of Maintenance has been a staff member that is consistently fantastic! He listens to the ladies that attend the water aerobics classes and makes the experience so much better and is always checking in to see what
our concerns are. No other staff member has listened to concerns or ever followed thru on reasonable requests as Arnold continues to do.

Cynthia our fantastic leader of water aerobics is the other person who
continues to excel in her teaching and top notch music to keep us
motivated and is the super best at what she does! I would not
continue my membership without these two who care!
They are the best and make a difference!!

Arnold and Cynthia should be recognized by the executives in Chicago!

SCAM ALERT.

I got lured in to the trap of personal training sessions with false information. Was made to believe I could cancel anytime. Not only that but the sessions are not what they promise you, I could watch a youtube workout video and it would be the same thing. After wasting multiple weeks on the customer hotline I realized no matter what reason I present (Medical/Move) they will not let go. This is a serious issue and I won't be quiet about this. Explained to them I was moving back to Germany and won't have any form of communication from there and they still said they couldn't do anything about it. SCAM.

Been an XSport member for over 7 years! Will say, it's not the most luxurious experience but it has what you need to work out.
This gym has a convenient location, kind and assisting workers, and really everything you would need to have a good session. Also, for the price range if you get the buy one year get one free -- it's a pretty solid deal (about $20 a month + access to all their gym locations) Some downsides would be a not so clean bathroom, work stations being messy, and like any other gym -- being super crowded during the 5pm-8pm range. It can also feel and or smell muggy at times.

Would recommend 5.5/10 for convenience, price, and accessibility! Would not recommend for cleanliness and out of their locations in VA, not exactly my fave but will do!

I've been a member for 5 years and it's constantly going downhill. Most notably: most cardio machines are broken. The ones that do work they've moved them to where the classes are held for premium members. When you put in service requests for machines they just say they'll "get to it". Besides a couple of knowledgeable trainers, they're mostly unprofessional and not certified PTs. Most spend more time smoking outside or selling weed to members than actually training. One also consistently parks in the handicap parking spot despite not having a decal.

I have tried to cancel this membership with this gym and somehow they keep charging me. Do not become a member! It is a nightmare trying to get away from this gym. I have not been to any of there gym in over a year and the keep charging me. I guess they need the money more tha I do. I WOULD NOT GO HERE AT ALL!

Signed up for the 7 day guest pass to try it out. Told that "you have to talk to a manager before you can work out," I was kept waiting for 25 minutes before I walked out. In that time, I saw no one wipe down their machines, few sanitation stations, supplements that were all hype and caffeine, and the few squat racks and free weights that there were dominated by guys that seemed more interested in their phones than lifting.
I'm glad they have so much business that they don't need mine.

Do not sign up for this gym. A friend of mine is refugee from Afghanistan and has moved 45 miles away from Fairfax. She has visited the gym 5 times since she moved trying to cancel her membership and has shown them her lease and they still will not cancel her membership. So each time she had someone drive her the 45 miles up here to cancel the gym membership and has been denied. Her English is not that good and nor does she have much money

What is even worse is that she is paying for both
- gym membership
- personal trainer
And they will not let her cancel both. Tonight she sent in a complaint via their website and mentioned the person's name who would not let her quit.

This place is the worst. Do not recommend you join. It's dirty, you can never get the dumbbells or a bench or a machine pretty much any time in the morning or evening. They closed the childcare with TWO days notice. The bathrooms are always dirty and broken. It's pretty cheap but very much not worth it. Just a money grab with zero customer service or value. Go literally anywhere else.

Do not sign up for this gym. It's over crowded, dirty, and the staff is rude. Been here for over 10 years because it's close to my house - and it's such a hassle to cancel.

Front desk staff is rude and the manager legend is even worse. I wanted to cancel and couldn't even get a hold of him. Was told I would be charged $10 but can't explain why. She was rude
, did not want to help, and she told me to call corporate. I've tried to call corporate or reach out via website or email and still have not heard back. It's getting ridiculous as now the gym wants to charge me again - but I've tried to cancel for a month now. I just feel that they have no customer service at all. Very disappointing.

Do not recommend Ashley the Trainer. Peak times are hard to get on machines. The gym was okay otherwise.
