Yummy Sushi - All You Can Eat

I had seen an ad for this place on my instagram. Did not disappoint at all. The food is sooo good, awesome awesome sushi. The ginger tastes so fresh! The place is beautiful, amazing views. We watched the sun set with the view of the ocean. And service was incredible, they are so friendly and attentive. Hana was our server and she's so so awesome, super good at her job and very nice.
Will definitely return soon!

The sushi was delicious! Very good food, the endless sushi was extremely worth the price. The service was great, Hana was a great server. The ambience of the restaurant is great, and played a lot of good music!

AMAZING FOOD!!!! The service we got from Hana was excellent! She was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Yummy is very casual while still maintaining a level of high quality!

Best. Sushi. Ever! You have to try the Hawaiian, Black Dragon, and Spicy Tuna sashimi (dip it in the gyoza sauce!). Everything is so fresh! Hana was awesome and surprised us with the Amigo and Yellowtail Special. Hot damn! Will be bringing anyone who likes fish and sushi here! Highly recommend. Don't waste your time with anything but the "All You Can Eat".

Side note, the music slaps.

Let's start with what was probably the only positive - the food was good and the fish was fresh. We've been to various AYCE sushi places (along with just regular sushi places) and the fish here is noticeably better quality.

Now, for the rest. For one, LUCKILY we managed to get one of apparently very few reservations. The couple in line ahead of us was told it would be an hour and a half until they could get a table. HOWEVER, even with a reservation, they sat our party at 2 separate tables? We had a party of 8 and there were other parties of 8 there sitting at one table but they told us that they couldn't accommodate all of us at one table (even though we made a reservation and this was not mentioned to us when we called). Next up, the service was TERRIBLE. When we called we asked if it would be a problem if some of the people in our party didn't want to do AYCE and ordered off the a la carte menu. We were told that wouldn't be an issue. Once we were there, they said everyone at the table HAD to do AYCE. THEN We waited SO long before anyone even came to our table to take our order. Then after taking everyone's orders, multiple people had to ask if the server could check on their food because it was taking so long to come out. Some of our food NEVER came out. Much pricier than other AYCE places and in my opinion, not worth it.

Shrimp Tempura Udon
*Super flavorful and yummy, definitely would get this again. The udon noodles were so good!

Coronado Beach Roll (half/half)
*I got half scallop and half crawfish and this was also super good. I would highly recommend because it was very fresh

Philadelphia Roll
*This was fresh, but I thought there would be cucumbers in the roll to balance the saltiness of the cream cheese. This was okay.

Aside from the food being good, I would recommend checking that your to-go order is correct. When I got back to my place, there were missing my gyoza dumplings. Also, it took them so long to have our order ready. On the phone they said the food would be ready in 20 mins and in actuality it was 40mins we waited. Service was terrible here, but the food was still pretty good

I have been coming here for a couple years and I always tell people it's my favorite sushi spot in San Diego. I have always just gone for the Long Weekend, so I can't say much on the other rolls. It's always been fresh and so tasty. The service here is normally good, but recently they have been much busier and slower on service. It took a while to get our waitress to order. The ambiance is good and conveniently located close to the beach. It's a nice vibe.

Food was delicious. Service was ok and is the reason for the missing star. They kept forgetting some plates we ordered. The place was small. We wanted to sit outside but they said it was closed. I'd definitely give it another try again.

Saw this place on Instagram reel about their AYCE but the price was different. It was $10 more than what we expected per person. And there's no dessert on the menu anymore.

Street parking only, didn't have any issue. I did have a reservation and good thing I did because it filled up pretty quickly for a weekday night.
There are two price range for all you can eat, and we opted out with the regular All you can eat.

You can order five sushi at a time and besides sushi. they also offer noodles as well. For Sushi rolls, they come in four pieces at a time and the portions were huge. The sushi came out really quickly and there were not enough room for all of our sushi on the table. They really should combine all of our sushi in just one plate instead of having five different plates per person. For all you can eat sushi I thought the portions were enormous, which I appreciate. All of us have ordered at least 11 different sushi options and we were definitely full after that.

For the price and the portion you receive, I think it was worth a try.

Yummy Sushi is within walking distance of Hotel Del Coronado. They are upstairs in a complex above a Subway. Some street parking would be available in front.

We went at 5:30pm on a Saturday night and luckily were able to be seated right away. We were given the table at the very back of the restaurant which had incredible ocean/sunset views. We definitely appreciated the views since there was quite a wait to take orders, receive food etc.

We did the AYCE sushi for $49/each. They are new, so they haven't figured out the ordering process well enough for it to be smooth and seamless. For now, you give your order to the waitress who writes it down. No substitutions (so that even means no modifications like no spicy mayo). Most restaurants have a slip of paper or two that have hot vs cold items and you tick what items and how many you want - and sometimes columns that track how many orders...and often space at bottom for notes like not spicy so no spicy condiments...

They ended up getting really backed up so there was a delay for our food and huge gaps in-between getting items. So hopefully they can figure that out and improve. The quality was excellent. The fish and avocado were fresh.

We ended up being satisfied after only two rounds of orders.

FYI: they have low sodium & regular soy sauce. Thanks for the low sodium option!

My highlights were the nigiri asparagus, avocado and cucumber rolls. They lightly blanche the asparagus and peel it - really unique and hadn't had it prepared that way before. The avocado hand roll was good, just a bit too much seaweed in the cone folded on top of each other so denser to bite through. The shrimp tempura definitely was made in house though a bit heavy handed on the breading. The goyza, only 3 pcs, and tasted burned so I would pass on those two items. Edamame was good.

N did: Hawaiian roll, Hotel Del Coronado, multiple sashimi, yellowtail handroll, mikko, amigos, some nigiri...fish was very fresh. He said the spicy mayo was very spicy though so he would've preferred if that could have been left out.

Overall, a great date night. Food was good and yummy. Would return next time if craving more sushi.
