We did a takeout pizza for an evening at the park and it did not disappoint.
Can't speak for the service of this restaurant but the pickup went smoothly and the pizza was hot and fresh when we arrived.
Make sure to get the sauces if you enjoy a saucy dipping moment.
We even received two compliments on the smells of this pizza. The flavors and colors were amazing and can't wait to go back. It is a bit pricy but makes for a memorable memory on your tongue.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - MICHAEL L. S.San Francisco, États-Unis061265 mars 2025
We've done takeout at Zante's Pizza for years (25?) and it's different - Indian. And good. It's not thin crust. It's not Italian. But the crust (a little thicker than some) is very good, the toppings, from saag (spinach) to tandoori chicken and veg, etc. are very tasty and good. Worth a try if you haven't yet. We have only eaten in the restaurant 1x. It's a little dark, perhaps dusty, but well set tables and good service. Never crowded. I recently had a billing dispute (got double billed for a pizza that I ordered from BART on phone ... that call got cut off ... so I re-ordered on the phone app ... ). The counter man told me "oh, we won't bill you twice!" and then the Visa bill showed the double billing. The manager handled the double billing very professionally and gave me the refund I asked for when I pointed it out to him in person. We will return!

Chicken Tikka Masala- flavor is decent but over the pizza is very dry on top, so doesn't work well for me on a pizza. Medium comes with 8 slices as shown.
Naan- the cheese stuffed w/ spices one is weird, dont recommend. garlic naan could use a bit more salt? both are very fluffy.
butter chicken and lamb korma both looked exactly the same on appearance which was odd since one is usually more orange and the other yellow. Pretty offputting that so much oil sits on top of the curry for both but the flavors were really rich and creamy.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 24 juill. 2024
A real gem in Bernal Heights! This was the first time I've tried an Indian pizza and I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty it was! The sauce was flavorful, the surface had nice chicken tikka nuggets and then crust was crispy but soft. The bottom of the crust was a bit oily, but I guess you'd get the same effect with a pepperoni pizza. I ordered my pizza to-go, so I can't fully comment on service and ambiance. But my interactions with staff were pleasant!

Indian pizza is amazing and like non other, also they been doing it for 30 plus years. The other food they serve is bad flat out. Will not order anything else. The dine in is pretty dated and dead in there. Service is mid. Gotta try the pizza it's a must if you want a unique pizza experience!

I've been ordering Zante's vegetarian Indian pizza for at least 20 years and have had it over 50 times at this point. I usually get it with sides of tikka masala and raita for dipping the pizza. I'd pair it with mango lassis for me and my friends as well. It used to be amazing, but no longer.
The pizza was always hot and filled with good veggies plus just enough cheese to pull it all together. The tikka masala was creamy and fresh. The mango lassis were a perfect combination of mango and yogurt -- sweet and refreshing.
Something changed about a year to two years ago, though, and my last four orders from Zante's have been awful, culminating in last night's order that has made me decide to never order from them again and to leave this review.
1) Tikka masala. It came with literally 1/2 an inch of grease on the top of it: it was absolutely inedible and we threw it out. See picture.
2) Vegetarian Indian pizza. This was basically just what tasted like old and rancid saag, cheese, and garlic. It arrived lukewarm and the crust tasted strangely stale. Worst of all, I've been up all night with food poisoning/violent diarrhea from the one piece I ate. My stomach is gurgling as I write this message, and I had to take a break from writing to use the bathroom again.
3) Mango lassi. That was still good, but it's literally the only edible item from the order.
4) Raita. It smelled off and was thrown out, too.
I'm really bummed because I used to love this pizza and have referred many friends to them over the years and ordered it as a treat for many others. But after noticing that the pizza had been going downhill in my past few orders and how sick it made me last night, plus the absolutely disgusting tikka masala they let leave their restaurant last night, I just can't order from them anymore and will never recommend them again.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Sohum M.San Francisco, États-Unis11847214 mai 2024
Ordered from here the first (and last) time yesterday from Door Dash. We ordered 5 items and they ranged from below average to terrible.
The Best Indian Pizza with Chicken Masala Sauce
- Somehow completely flavorless
- Random pieces of beer on the pizza
- Tasted like one piece of lamb made it's way onto pizza
- 2/10
Butter Naan and Garlic Kulcha
- Only acceptable item
- Didn't taste stale or too hard
- Was still very bland
- 4/10
Chicken Tikka Masala
- Half an inch of oil at the top of the container
- Color was fine but flavor completely absent
- Did not have any spice or tartness
- 1/10
Seekh Kebab
- Literally not a seekh kebab. Looked like they sent a lamb tikka kebab.
- I had one bite and tossed the rest since it tasted so bad.
- 0/10
I'll obviously never be ordering from here again. Surprised this place has 4+ stars on Door Dash and Google.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 14 déc. 2022
I haven't had a lot of Indian pizza, but my friends who have tried a lot can attest this is the only good spot in the bay area!
We called for a pick-up order on a Sunday around 7pm. They estimated 15 minutes, but it took 30.
We got a chicken and a vegetarian pizza. Must get the dipping sauce (we forgot to ask during pickup!). Both were good - not the best pizza of my life compared to regular pizzas, but the Indian toppings were unique and done well.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sakthi S.Western Addition, San Francisco, États-Unis25 juill. 2023
Have come here quite a few times for the paneer pizza (both for dine in and takeout) and each time it's been consistently good! The cilantro and the sauce and the paneer all come together SUPER well. The dough is also super fluffy and soft in the perfect way. We always ask for extra sweet sauce and they are always nice enough to give us a TON when we order delivery.
I will say the inside is not the nicest place... but that's what you get with hole in the wall restaurants!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley F.Benicia, États-Unis44634065827 août 2024
We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had a chance to try the infamous original Indian pizza. It was definitely something to try but I probably would not order it again. It's a lot of textures and flavors mixed in one bite. Service is quick and no mess around. It's also a little pricy, around $50 with tip for a large pizza.
